MACFAST Celebrations

Celebrations bring us together and bind us with harmony, enthusiasm and happiness. At MACFAST, we believe every occasion must be celebrated uniquely. All celebrations are organized by the students with the support of College Union and guidance of faculty members.

Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala is celebrated with great enthusiasm. A day of celebration, all dressed in traditional attire, marked with several events like Athapookalam, Malayala Manga, Kerala Sreeman, Nadan Pattu and various programmes by students of each batch. A splendid Onam lunch is arranged for the staff and students and well wishers of MACFAST by the college.

Christmas, the season of joy is celebrated delightfully. Celebrations include rhythmic performances by the college students, cake cutting, carol song competition, dance performances etc.

Token of appreciation and love is given to the senior batch students by the junior batch students in the farewell ceremony every year. They bid good bye and wish all the prosperity and happiness for their seniors. The day, filled with nostalgia, fun and excitement has variety entertainment programmes, exciting contests and competitions.

Radio MACFAST, the community radio of the campus is the prime On-Campus Community Radio in the state and 46th in the country which was launched on November 1st, 2009. Radio MACFAST Day is celebrated every year by introducing innovative programmes. Socially relevant programmes are also initiated by the radio members every year.

Dakshina

Dakshina is the official passing out ceremony of the final year students from MBA, MCA and Biosciences. It starts with the academic procession of the passing out students along with the dignitaries and beloved professors to the auditorium. It includes Gurudakshina by the representatives of the passing out students to acknowledge, respect and pay gratitude to their teachers who paved the foundation of knowledge in their respective arena.
